Legend Aero Holdings manages a specialized Legend Cub for EAA Chapter 297. Led by a team of veterans, we bring precision and integrity to every initiative, fostering a safer and more informed community for the next generation of aviators.

The Chapter’s Cornerstone
Affectionately known as "Grandma," the Legend Cub serves as a vital component for Young Eagle rallies, fly-ins, and educational programs. Members of EAA 297 who meet specific requirements may utilize the aircraft to support local and national initiatives. Additionally, our tailwheel endorsement program supports pilots transitioning to conventional gear aircraft through expert training and professional oversight.

Performance and Heritage
Equipped with Vortex Generators, a ported MX-200 engine, and tundra tires, "Grandma" provides an excellent introduction to STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) operations. This aircraft holds a special place in our history; it was donated by a member’s widow and named in honor of the wife of the dedicated mechanic who maintained it for years.
